Lodge History

Summary

Lamorbey Lodge 5614 was consecrated on 12th September 1936, at the Masonic Hall, Sidcup. Lamorbey Lodge became the first Lodge to be consecrated by the Provincial Grand Master of Kent, Right Worshipful Bro. The Lord Cornwallis M.C., D.L., Past Grand Warden.

Since then, ‘much development has changed Sidcup…’ but the lodge continues to thrive with currently 44 subscribing members.

Additionally in 1945 the Lodge sponsored a petition to form Lamorbey Chapter and in 1949 sponsored our daughter Lodge Kemnal 6875. Both of which are still active today.

A comprehensive account of the lodge is available in print from our current Director of Ceremonies upon request.
